Fundamentals of Welding Engineering

Overview

The course prepares participants with basic understanding of welding engineering. It is expected that at the end of the course participants are equipped with basic knowledge and tools to communicate with those involve in welding activities. The importance of Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and its requirement and tools related to its preparation will be highlighted. The course touches various welding terms and processes, weldability of materials, international welding standards and codes of practices, rules and regulation, welding inspection and evaluation, and design in welding.
